Crowsons Funeral Directors is a long running established Funeral Directors, changing ownership but continuing to provide excellent service over the past 100 years or so.
The previous owner, Mr Derek Gunn, was looking to retire but had no family members to follow in his footsteps, so was happy for Toby Hunt to take over.
In 2024, the business became part of Funeral Partners Ltd, with Toby and Jane continuing to serve as Business Principals.

A simple, dignified and low-cost cremation without the formalities of a funeral, with no service at the crematorium.

Covers all essential Funeral Director services
From £2,650
Choice Plus Funeral Plan
Covers all essential Funeral Director services plus embalming and a chauffeured limousine for up to six passengers

Third Party Fees and Additional Products & Services are not included in the Choice Essentials and Choice Plus Plans. Certain Third Party Fees (burial or cremation fees and doctor’s fees, if required) must be paid in order for the funeral to take place, in addition to the funeral plan cost.
With a Choice Funeral Plan
Our Funeral Plan enables you to prepay for certain elements of your funeral in advance and fix the cost of Funeral Director Services, protecting you from the risk of these rising.
- The Funeral Director Services are included
- For Choice Essential and Choice Plus Plans you have the option to make Voluntary Contributions towards Third Party Fees and Additional Products & Services
- You will not require a medical assessment
- You are able to record your wishes to help your family make decisions when the time comes

Crowsons looked after the funeral arrangements for my late father in law. The staff were very helpful and caring throughout our sad time. thank you to all who were involved in helping us through with a professional and caring way.

Over the past few years Crowsons have dealt with my mothers funeral along with my uncles and my grandmothers. I wouldn't use any other funeral directors, the care and attention to detail is second to none, everything we asked for was dealt with smoothly without any issues at all. The flowers were just AMAZING!

I couldn't be anymore thankful than I am to toby and crowsons for such an amazing service. You made the funeral process start to finish amazing and treated us all with such kindness and empathy. I couldn't of asked for any better and gave my loved one the send off he deserved. Highly recommend I wouldn't use anyone else.

Fantastic service. Stella was so helpful with any questions or ideas we had for my Dads funeral. We would have be lost without her. Also Jayne the florist such beautiful flowers, they were exactly how I pictured them. Thank You
