Community-spirited E Sargeant & Son has helped to celebrate the vital work of volunteers by sponsoring Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead’s (WAM) Royal Borough Voluntary Sector Awards.
Area Development Manager Mark Clements organised the £500 sponsorship which significantly helped WAM to hold the awards ceremony on 2 October. Funeral Arranger Katrina Gascoyne attended to represent the branch.
The WAM (Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead’s) Community Database is run and administered by Slough Council for Voluntary Service (CVS), which helps connect volunteers to the people who need them most.
Mark said: “We like to be involved with these awards as they really celebrate all the hard work and commitment that is delivered by teams, local groups and volunteers across the local community.
“We have been based in Windsor since 1923 and Maidenhead since 1991 so we very much like to support local community activities as much as possible.”
