During this difficult Jackie Stacey at the Lewisham branch was very supportive to my family. She was professional, experienced and explained everything in detail. Jackie made the process so much easier for us to deal with. She was warm compassionate kind and caring. I would highly recommend Steven Mears. Thank you Jackie. We would also like to thank Bobby for his support during the funeral.

After losing my lovely Dad recently, I went with Steven Mears Funeral Directors. Jackie was the first port of call for us.. and I would like to thank her from the bottom of my heart, for her kindness and understanding, absolutely nothing was too much to ask of her at anytime of the day… she was right there for us at this sad and hard time… Also the minister Nicole, she was just amazing, between these two lovely ladies I felt really looked after and cared for…. My two angels. The whole sad experience become a lot easier. Steven Mears Funeral Directors add such little personal touches…. I’d go to them again if I ever I have to.

I was shocked at the funeral I attended today at how unprofessional the funeral bearers were! It almost felt disrespectful talking to each other during the service in the doorway of the church. Shouting round the car at each other about getting the stands out the car for the coffin. The all standing around chatting at the grave side ! Not the send off Mears have given our family members before shame really for the family members who had trusted them with our loved ones send off.

When I contacted Steven Mears in December I had never organised a funeral. I was terrified, but I soon found out I didn’t need to be. Jackie (at the Lewisham branch) was incredible from start to finish. She made me feel so supported and helped me to make decisions. She made something that should have been awful and stressful much easier. I cannot thank the team enough for helping me to organise a beautiful service for my Auntie.

Steven Mears Beckenham were absolutely brilliant when my dad passed away in September last year. It was such a difficult time and extra stressful due to his passing away suddenly whilst on holiday abroad with my mum. During the two months between his passing and the funeral Katie our funeral arranger was brilliant, very helpful, organised and sympathetic. I couldn't recommend her enough.

I cannot thank Katie and the team highly enough for the service we received for my mum’s funeral. Nothing was too much trouble and they made a difficult time much easier. They even took a video of the jazz band, which led mum’s car to the crematorium, whilst stopping the traffic for us.

I went into the funeral directors to get some information about grave markers today. A very professional young lady called Katie ?? provided lots of information about the various ones and provided brochures with full details. I was very impressed by her knowledge and l would defenitely recommend them for people seeking a funeral director. Please thank the young lady for me again.

I wanted to write to thank Becky and her team for the smooth running of my father in law’s funeral on January 9th. Everything went really well and we as a family were very happy with the ceremony. Dad and I are so grateful for the kindness and patience shown by Angela in organising Mum’s funeral. In these difficult times she helped us every step of the way. I felt that nothing was too much to ask and she explained the process and requirements as sensitively as possible. Tommy the funeral director was courteous and respectful and we were so grateful for the dignity and respect that all of us were shown on the day of the cremation. Thank you so much.

I’ve given 5 stars due to the exemplary and compassionate service I received from the amazing team at Sydenham. Throughout the funeral process the care and respect provided was outstanding. Janice, Bobby and Olivia are a credit to Steven Mears with whom I cannot thank enough for all their support, kindness and patience. With open arms they embraced me and my family with our grief. On the day of the funeral Bobby and his team where so professional and made what was such an unbearable day go smoothly. Sally the Celebrant was a star on the day too. They are truly an incredible team and I would highly recommend using Sydenham, you won’t be let down.

From the first contact on the phone with Angela I knew she would be a great support for my fathers funeral. When we went to the funeral directors she was warm and friendly. Angela was able to explain the process and what type of funeral was available. It’s such a difficult time but she made the process so much more manageable. I could phone her at anytime and was able to ask any question. At the funeral Bobby and his team were excellent and very sensitive and respectful. If you are looking for a funeral directors I would highly recommend Steven Mears in Sydenham -ask for Angela. Thank you so much for your help, support and professionalism.

A huge thank you to all the staff at Steven Mears. We used them 12 years ago for my Mother and decided to go back again. Initially spoke with Angela and then met with Olivia and went through the initial chat re the funeral. Didn't really have to do too much after that , which was nice. Bobbie and the funeral team were excellent and the whole funeral passed off better than expected- the rain even stayed away. Thanks to all involved as they made what could be a stressful event pass smoothly and serenely!

When my mum died i didn't know what to do or where to go. As soon as i made the 1st phone call and spoke to Angela she put me at ease and i knew i would be ok. Not only did she guide me through the whole thing but her and Janice went out of there way to make this so easy and pain free for me and my family. On the day Bobby looked after us and made sure everything ran smoothly. I cant thank them enough for what they did and would 100% recommend Steven Mears in Sydenham

What a disgusting way I have been treated and harassed first for over £6000 that I have paid not £200 that I have also paid. When I went to the Sydenham branch I dealt with First Angela’s daughter then Angela herself. There were a few mistakes made by both Angela and her daughter but I overlooked them and just tried to solve the problems that arose so that my mother could be buried which was my only concern. Now 2 months after I had paid this company I have been bombarded with emails and letters that I owe them money although I had proven that I paid Angela I am still getting letters and now threatening emails that my details would be sent to a debt collection Agency for not over £6000 but now for £199 which I paid Angela in person. I have phoned the office many times and told Angela will get back to me and she hasn’t. I have been down to the Sydenham branch and been told many times by Olivia that again Angela will get back to me. How can I be treated so disgustingly when I am in grieving for the loss of my mother. The stress and upset these people have caused me cannot be put into words when I am already broken. To be accused of owing money is just sick. I would never use or recommend this branch or any other Steven Myers branch after the way I have been treated. I have tried calling the Sydenham branch today and the phone number I have is not going through. I called the phone number from the website and that is not going through so Monday I will have to start again and try to find somebody to explain to me how this company can harass and treat a grieving person in such a disgusting way. I’m in shock and feel weak from the way I continue to be treated by Angela and her team when I paid her personal.
