We only phoned up a local funeral director to get a rough cost of our parents cremation, immediately Tara made us feel so comfortable with the initial enquiry we had no doubts about using Payne and Sons. The whole process was straightforward from start to finish, reasonably priced and the service was everything i could have wished for..... Thank You Tara and the team

Having to arrange a funeral for the first time was made so easy by Clare. We were really pleased with everything and Clare taking the time to keep in touch with us before and even after the funeral was very much appreciated. Highly recommended.

We found Payne and Sons by chance. Being in an old cinema, a small chapel is behind the shop, comfortably seating 60 people. As a family, we spent time together with Mum's coffin and set up our visual tribute and online link. The setting is much more comfortable than the crematorium, and there was no pressure to vacate after our "celebration of life". Instead, we gathered around the coffin to share memories and those who wanted to wrote messages on the coffin before we left to assemble at the wake. I would thoroughly recommend Payne and Sons and the unique facility that they offer and for the sensitivity and advice that they gave us in the run up to Mum's funeral.

Amazing experience with Payne and sons seaside branch. The team were friendly and polite! They went the extra mile to make sure our elvis loving grandad had the perfect send off! Could not fault the team at all made a difficult situation so much more manageable just want to say a massive thank you to all the team for there hard work and for making our Elvis themed send possible! And with the team even joining in on the elvis theme to make it even more spectacular!

We as a family can't thank Payne and sons in Eastbourne enough for all there help and support. We had no clue how to arrange a funeral, Andrew and Mark were fantastic,they guided us through it all. They helped personalise the order of service so well and I was able to take in my photos,some digital and some actual that had to be scanned,and they uploaded everything from their office ready for the slide show we chose to have at my dad's service. This took a huge weight off my mind as I knew there and then things would be perfect. I never felt rushed or pressured and this made the process very calming. They continued that support during the service and helped us to make sure everything went smoothly. They are very kind and caring at Payne and sons in Eastbourne and I would definelty recommend them.

5 star send off. We opted for the unattended funeral for dear Auntie Pip which was not as it seems.We were helped every step by Mark. We held the service ourselves with Andy's help in the Eastern Chapel on the premises. He sourced correct Hymns & projected 15 or so of our chosen photos on a pause in proceedings.He also sourced Tunes for entrance & departure. We organised flowers & order of service programs ourselves. We were not hurried so gave all the congregation the time to lay a white rose on her coffin which included the sentiment of Thanks for having me.(which she always said)

We are so grateful to Mark and the team at Payne and Sons. They guided us through every step of the process with immense care and compassion. We were given the opportunity to view our loved one as often as we wanted and they did a wonderful job making him look at least 10 years younger and more like the man of our best memories! Such a consolation at the most difficult of times and our heartfelt thanks for that
