Our Mum passed away very quickly after a short illness. This was a shock to us all however from making that 1st dreaded phone call the team were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much to ask for , we added things at the last minute which they dealt with brilliantly. The bespoke celebration of life / order of service was beautiful. The empathy the team showed us was wonderful. We thank you.

I was privileged to work along with Melia Powell for the funeral of a very special youngster with our Volkswagen Hearse yesterday. Merv was so welcoming and had everything so well orchestrated to ensure that it ran perfectly for the family. We all worked together as a team which is exactly how it should be to ensure that it was just what the family wanted. All the staff were great, and gave up their Sunday to help. I would not hesitate to recommend this company especially with such a lovely and caring team taking care of the families. Well done! Further to this review I would like to thank Merv and the team at Melia Powell for another service with us for a gentleman today. The team are so very respectful and professional and ensure every detail is just right for the family. Merv is a super star and you can tell that the families think very highly of him. 👍🏼

I cannot recommend Melia Powell funeral services enough. I recently lost my young wife and Merv went above and beyond for me, I was completely lost and Merv guided me through the whole process and he added extra little special touches to the day that made it so special and it was just perfect. He is an absolute credit to the company and I had so many people commenting on the day how outstanding Merv was and that they would recommend him and the company to anyone. Thank you Merv and Melia Powell’s for helping me through this devastating time.

Our family have unfortunately had to use Melia Powell’s following the passing of Jay Robinson. We have nothing but the highest praise for Merv and Carla who were respectful and thorough from the start. Nothing was too much trouble and we were kept informed throughout. It was the attention to detail that shone through. Special touches like staff all wearing yellow ties, and bowing to the hearse are exactly what we needed at this difficult time. Merv is superb and never failed to deliver first class service. Thank you Merv, Mum can RIP

Our family would like to express our thanks & gratitude to the team at Meliá Powell for looking after us following the passing of our much loved Dad. In particular a huge thanks to Carla, who always made sure we were comfortable when visiting the office, and to Merv for his exceptional management skills and his brilliant ideas 'outside the box'. I cannot put into words how grateful I am to Zoe and the staff at Meliá Powel. The care and attention they gave to my mum and my family during the worst weeks of my life made that time more bearable. They facilitated me in my mum's preparation and gave me the time I needed to spend with her. Zoe spent time in assisting me with the planning of mums day and answered the relevant questions I asked. They liaised with me over the phone and kept me in the loop every step of the way. They introduced me to Hanna Fill who lead the service and gave me strength on the day to read my eulogy and personal poem. Zoe lead mum to the church where she was to depart from to Skipton Crematorium with so much dignity and for that I will be eternally grateful. The follow up calls afterwards were not expected but again were so welcome. I would not hesitate to use their services again. Highly recommended. Thank you for everything Melia Powel. Bless you all

From the first meeting with Rachel at the Keighley office, we have found the Melia Powell team to be very helpful & professional. Made more difficult by not actually living in Keighley, a lot of the arrangements & tweaking of the service were done by email or on the phone with Rachel. They were nothing but helpful, even down to me singing songs down the phone to Rachel and her then finding them & playing them back to me. The day of my Aunties funeral was nothing but supportive & professional. Thank you all for going above & beyond at such a difficult time

When those who you care for pass away, you want to give them the last gift to show that you loved them and this would be, by no means a service to honour the love they gave to you. From the first contact, Rachel kept me closely informed of the processes and, herself and the team provided the care for my brother to ensure he was looked after in the most empathic, professional and dignified standards we could have hoped for. Our family cannot thank the team at Melia Powell Funeral Services enough.

I cannot thank Carla and Merv enough for looking after my best friend and family from start to finish after the tragic loss of their husband and father. Regardless of Covid they safely made this funeral the most special and respectful funeral I have ever witnessed. They went above and beyond and the special touches will always be remembered and appreciated. I would recommend this funeral directors without a doubt and would like to thank them so much for all that they did xx

Absolutely fantastic Melia Powell staff in Keighley are the best .! All my questions answered straight away , they were always at the end of a phone. I have never done a funeral before but the staff helped me step by step and my mum had a fantastic send off xxx so thank you so so much
