After losing mum in 2016, we sadly lost dad as well in May this year. Mum was looked after so tenderly by James & Thomas so leaving dad in their caring hands was the obvious choice. Liz at the Cobham branch was nothing short of an angel to my sister and I. She was compassionate and considerate and guided us so personally through the whole process all the way to the crematorium where she attended and looked after the whole family so sensitively and with such dignity and respect for dad. We honestly could not have wished for a lovelier team of people to help us through such a sad time. So many thanks for everything.

We chose Liz and her team to deal with my step mums funeral, as she had also dealt with my fathers, years before. Liz couldn't have been more helpful and made everything as stress free as possible. I would definitely recommend Liz and her team. Thank you

We could not be happier with the service we experianced, every detail was laid out for us.even advice on other official requirements. Our celebrant Colin was first class, He guided us through the eulogy writing, Colins additional input of readings and poems really made the whole service into a well recieved experiance by all who attended.

I only have praise for James & Thomas and thank them for making the whole process of arranging my mother's funeral as easy and stress free as it was. The room we were in had a very calming feel. Amanda, the lady who dealt with me, had a lovely gentle voice and made me feel very much at ease.she guided me through the process and explained everything very well which meant any choices I had to make were that bit easier. I found I had no problem with James & Thomas when I had to make a few changes to the initial funeral plan I had agreed. The day of the funeral I had no problems, everything went as well as I could have hoped for. The staff were amazing and very polite and extremely respectful. I can't fault them.

Well, what can I say, Liz at James and Thomas was amazing. From the moment we walked into the office she put my husband and I at ease, guiding us through the whole funeral process and making a difficult and emotional time totally stress free for us. Liz was at the end of the phone to answer any queries that we raised and dealt with everything professionally. Liz even had flowers made in the shape of a cat for us. We wouldn’t hesitate to use James and Thomas again. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you.

Our Funeral Director, Chris, was absolutely outstanding throughout the whole process, on all levels, and created the most beautiful ceremony. He is an exceptional person and we are very grateful to him. He helped us tremendously at a very difficult time. We would highly recommend him.

At what was a very difficult time, Julie couldn't have been kinder. She took me through the process of making the arrangements with great care and organised everything perfectly. At the last minute Julie arranged for the service to be available online for a family member who couldn't attend. Paula went through everything with me the day before the service which was very reassuring and on the day itself was extremely professional and supportive. I would have no hesitation in recommending James & Thomas.

Julie at the merrow branch of James and Thomas, was a great help and comfort whilst dealing with my late mother's funeral. The care and time they showed helped us through this difficult time, nothing was to much trouble. I really am grateful that mum had such a lovely send off . Julie Brown dealt with all the arrangement for my late Father's Funeral. With so many things to consider and finalise, Julie took my family and I through every step of the arrangements. Nothing was too much; Julie was compassionate and understanding and made the process of laying my Father to rest a seamless experience. Our time frame was tight, but Julie was on hand to address all our questions, and often went above and beyond to help us in what was a very difficult time. She displayed a perfect balance of sensitivity and firmness to keep everything running smoothly. Our world came crashing down recently when our beautiful daughter passed away age 22 unexpectedly. Our heads were full of "Where do you go to plan a funeral ? What sort of funeral should it be ?" With a few ideas we had our first meeting with Julie Brown at the Merrow branch. As soon as we first met her, we were comforted by her warmth and understanding. She guided us gently through the whole process with many of her comforting hugs. Julie found a fitting chapel and venue for the service. On the day, Julie and the pallbearers were very professional and made sure everything went smoothly. It was beautiful service and a fitting tribute to our daughter all made possible by Julie and her hard work. Julie noticed Amanda was struggling outside the chapel when she couldn't find me and came to Amanda's rescue which she very much appreciated. We arranged a funeral for my uncle with James and Thomas having felt the funeral director who we initially went to and who arranged the funeral of his wife was less than helpful. It was very difficult for us as strangers to the area to know who to go to instead. We saw James and Thomas premises by chance and from the moment we walked in and the greeting we received from Donna we knew we had come to the right place. Everything was arranged quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Donna was in touch as necessary and we felt confident and grateful that living hundreds of miles away ourselves everything had been left in good hands. The service went perfectly to plan and in every respect was dignified. A number of people have asked me who the Funeral Directors were subsequently, endorsing me view of the arrangements. Thank you. My thanks go to this team and particularly to Donna who "went the extra mile" .

Following the death of my Mother, we contacted James & Thomas to arrange the funeral. Donna was very kind, understanding & patient & we were very happy with the way our wishes were carried out. We were guided through a very difficult time & were able to arrange a fitting tribute to my Mother, this was entirely due to the time & care taken by Donna, I highly recommend their thoughtful professional service.

We used the office on Woodham Lane and I cannot say enough good things about the service we received from all the staff at this company. They were so professional, caring and helpful. We felt such a weight was lifted once they took over. They looked after my Mum so well and we were able to visit her anytime, which greatly helped my Dad. They assisted us in planning the service that we wanted and they were very accommodating. On the day of the service everything went like clockwork. They treated us so very well and I have to say Sam is truly one of the loveliest men I have met. You really feel you are with people who truly care about you. I can whole heartedly recommend James & Thomas Funeral Directors at New Haw for their professionalism in such a difficult time for myself and family . From my first meeting with Donna to the hearse leaving Clandon Wood Natural Burial Ground on the day of my husbands funeral they were kind, considerate, compassionate, respectful and always on the end of the phone for any queries I may have had. Donna was so helpful with the arrangements (which seemed a mind field to me) and everything went like clockwork on the day. I cannot praise them enough for everything they did to make a difficult time go so smoothly.
