Third Party Fees and Additional Products & Services are not included in the Choice Essentials and Choice Plus Plans. Certain Third Party Fees (burial or cremation fees and doctor’s fees, if required) must be paid in order for the funeral to take place, in addition to the funeral plan cost.

Our Funeral Plan enables you to prepay for certain elements of your funeral in advance and fix the cost of Funeral Director Services, protecting you from the risk of these rising.

- For Choice Essential and Choice Plus Plans you have the option to make Voluntary Contributions towards Third Party Fees and Additional Products & Services
- You will not require a medical assessment
- You are able to record your wishes to help your family make decisions when the time comes

Howards Funeral Directors were excellent in every way, from planning the funeral to delivering it. We were struggling with tight deadlines due to Easter, but they were able to make it work and provide a funeral of the highest quality. They coped with some last minute changes and traffic delays on the day to get us there on time. It was commented on by everyone present that it was a lovely service. It could not have gone better nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to Lyndsay, Derek, Carl and all the staff involved

My first point of contact by phone was Derek. He was kind, patient and professional from the very beginning. When I had questions or concerns I was able to get in touch and Derek would contact me at his earliest convenience and I was very grateful to have a continuous contact rather than to deal with different people throughout the process of planning my Dads funeral. I also met with Chris in person, again, kind, considerate and professional. He went out of his way to be available as I was travelling some distance to make final preparations and sign papers. Fantastic, friendly service from the outset. They made a very tough process much more manageable. Thank you to such an outstanding team.

I was happy with the service from the start, from taking out the funeral plan for my mum to arranging the funeral. It was an easy, stress-free process and Derek’s manner was kind and helpful, which really helped. All our wishes were carried out efficiently and professionally and we were very happy with the service and communication throughout. I’m so glad I took out the funeral plan with Howard’s. We were very pleased with the service we received from Derek and the team at Southport. Derek gave us good advice on options prior to the funeral. We also felt that the service on the day was very respectful and felt unhurried, which was appreciated and made it seem more personal.
