Our latest mum, Jane Searston who used to work for Douglas and Mercers as the funeral arranger unfortunately and suddenly passed away. Nick has been fantastic and has looked after our mum with dignity and respect. We as a family Nick can't thank you enough for your time and patience aswell as looking after mum and Gill for being there to listen to us. Jane, Nick and all the staff at Douglas Mercer’s managed the arrangements for mum’s funeral sensitively and efficiently. No request was too much. They were extremely compassionate and always took the time to explain the options and process. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

Charles, John, Julie and Families, We received an extremely professional and efficient service, Jane was incredibly kind and caring with all the preparations and organisation helping and guiding us at each step. On the day of the Funeral Ashley and his colleagues were very attentive and considerate. A big thank you also to Jim our Celebrant who carried out the service in a very sensitive and comforting way.

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the staff here. From the very first difficult phone call requesting the collection of my father's body, right up to the end of the funeral service itself. We were all shown nothing but kindness, compassion. The whole family were treated with the highest degree of sensitivity and professionalism. Every one within the team were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble, no question went unanswered. They made the worst time of our lives easier by being so organised and meticulous. Dad was well cared for and we felt at ease knowing our/his wishes were being met. Thank you all. You are wonderful people. Jane, you have the most beautiful soul and have clearly found a vocation. I would recommend your services to anyone who’s lost a loved one.
